I was born in Montreal and now call beautiful Vancouver Island home. In between, I’ve lived what I jokingly call 'a hundred lives'. My experiences across different careers, cities, and seasons of life have shaped the way I see the world—and the stories I choose to tell.
My debut novel, The Man at the Gate, draws inspiration from the people I’ve loved, the friendships that have sustained me, and the lessons life has insisted I learn. I’m drawn to stories about regret, resilience, and the fragile, stubborn hope of second chances.
When I’m not writing, I’m happiest outdoors—hiking forest trails, skiing fresh snow, swimming, or camping along the coast. And when the weather refuses to cooperate, which is most winters in the Pacific Northwest, you’ll find me curled up with a good book or unwinding in front of a great film.
Ebook & Paperback
A heart-wrenching novel about the weight of regret, the cost of silence, and the fragile beauty of second chances.
The first book of the Mark Sheppard series is for anyone who has ever longed to go back—and dared to believe that even the heaviest past can give way to grace.
Planned March 2026
Audiobook
I’ve started looking into converting the novel into an audiobook. It’s a whole new adventure and with a steep learning curve and a few trial-and-error moments. Progress is happening, slowly, and on vibes alone, but like everything else, I’ll figure it out.
Planned Spring 2026
Ebook & paperback
The Mark Sheppard story continues in the next novel. The Shape of a Cage is a novel about psychological entrapment and the invisible bars we build around ourselves and each other — an intimate, character-driven exploration of power, isolation, and the cost of mistaking intensity for love.
